How to use WhatsApp on two different phones using the same number

Officially WhatsApp permits to use one phone number only on one device. But, there are many methods to use one WhatsApp on two different devices, some of them are:

1. By using the concept of ‘WhatsApp Web’, without rooting the device.
2. By using an app which provides ‘WhatsApp Web’, as a mobile application, there are several apps available on google play store.
3. By using the concept of ‘Mac Spoofing’, by rooting the device.

Method: 1

As WhatsApp app on the phone periodically checks for an active phone number and if it doesn't find a match, it will prompt the user to re-verify the account. Therefore, multi-phone use of the same WhatsApp account generally doesn't work. But there is a simple hack for this.
Even though it is not the most elegant of solutions, it works. And it only needs an active internet connection on the second phone and functions even without a SIM card.

1.  Open the Web browser on the second phone and go to web.whatsapp.com.
2. From the browser options, choose "Request desktop site" (vary from browser to browser) and it will then open up the desktop version of the Web page with a QR code displayed on it.
3. On the phone that has WhatsApp installed and running, go to settings and click on "WhatsApp Web" (If you are already using WhatsApp Web on any other browser, you will have to log out before proceeding).
4. Scan the QR code displayed on the second phone with the WhatsApp app on the first and it will automatically log in with your account to WhatsApp Web on the second phone. Now you can now simultaneously use WhatsApp on two phones.

The catch is that by using this method you can WhatsApp on only one additional device and to use on another device, you will have to log out from one.
Also, WhatsApp Web isn't a full-featured replacement for the installed version of WhatsApp. You wouldn't get notifications and the interface isn't optimized for mobile use.

Method:2

This method is also the same as the above-mentioned method. The only difference is that in this method you don't need to follow step 1 and step 2. Because the app automatically opens the desktop version of the WhatsApp on your second phone. Hence you need to follow only step 3 & step 4.

Method:3

In this method, we need a rooted phone for mac spoofing. If you don't know about rooting follow this blog on rooting any android phone.

After rooting your phone follow the below-listed procedure in order.

1. Install WhatsApp on device A with your number
2. Verify the account on device A
3. Get the MAC id of device A from settings
4. Install MAC id Spoof application on device B (May require rooting for this to work)
5. Set MAC id of device A on device B (Now virtually both devices have same MAC)
6. Install Whatsapp on device B
7. Verify the account on device B

Mac Spoofing

Woo... Now WhatsApp on device A and device B will work together.
